Spawn 31 Feature

March 25, 2007

The McFarlane Spawn Series 31 figures have their site up.  It has some nice pics, reference art, and packaging pics.  I really like McFarlanes exceptional job at their publicity pics for their figures.

More McFarlane Simpsons figures

March 20, 2007

McFarlane has put up some more pictures of their "The Simpsons Movie" action figure line.  The Doodle Double Dare box set looks killer.

DC Unlimiteds WoW figures

March 9, 2007

Blizzard has linked to pics from the DC Unlimited line of World of Warcraft figures.  They have four figures, a blood elf rogue, dwarf warrior, orc shaman, and an undead warlock.  They’re looking pretty cool.  I’ll have to wait for some more pictures, or actually go see them in person before I definitively decide if I’ll buy them.

Green Hornet and Kato at Sideshow

March 7, 2007

If you’re a Green Hornet and Kato fan, you will want to head over to Sideshow and pre-order your Green Hornet and Kato figures.  They’re going to have changeable weapons which is a nice touch in my opinion.  This link will give you a closer look.

McFarlane “The Simpsons Movie” figure lineup.

March 5, 2007

McFarlane has posted up pics of their "The Simpsons Movie" figures.  I really like these figures.  Simple, clean, classic.  Maybe I’m used to seeing Simpsons figures without the black lining around their eyes because that stands out at me on these.  I still think they look cool though.

McFarlane Sereis 6 Dragons

March 3, 2007

McFarlane has released pictures of their Series 6 dragons.  The Ice Dragon looks especially wicked to me.  I just might have to pick that one up when it’s released.

Sideshow Boba Fett

March 2, 2007

Sideshow has put up details on their Boba Fett Premium Format Figure.  I definitely think it looks cool, but something about it looks to clean.  I don’t know if it’s that the armor has a bunch of nicks in it, but no variation in color of paint.  Or that the clothes look like they just got cleaned.  It just doesn’t have that dark, dirty, bounty hunter look that I think Boba should have.  But, to each their own.  I definitely like the figure and would pick it up if I had the money.

McFarlane MLB Series 19 lineup

February 26, 2007

McFarlane has a page up showing pics of their MLB Series 19 linuep.  I’m really not a baseball fan so I can’t say whether or not these figures actually look like the respective players, but I do think they capture action poses extremely well.  I’ve heard some not so good things about working as a sculptor for McFarlane from people that have worked there.  I think it would be cool check it out and see the process first hand myself, but they’re all the way on the other side of the U.S., so that’s not going to happen any time soon.  I’ve heard them referred to as a sculpting sweatshop.  Ouch!

McFarlane Series 1 Simpsons Figures

February 24, 2007

McFarlane put up their "The Simpsons" online feature yesterday.  The Itchy and Scratchy deluxe box set looks pretty sweet to me.  The other ones look cool, but don’t jump out at me and scream BUY ME at all.
