Ars Technica Adobe CS3 write up.

Ars has a nice and informative article on the new features in Adobe CS3.  "But CS3 isn’t just a small update—it’s chock full of enough new stuff
that’s Adobe feels it’s now worth branching out into two different
versions: Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop CS3 Extended. Don’t worry
though—all of the Photoshop CS2 features are in still the standard
edition and both include Bridge CS3."

Nice page with cool graphic designs.

Most of these are combinations of a couple or a few pictures to make a more interesting picture.  Like a frog that is made of an orange peel.  Cool stuff.

New Adobe Design Center tutorials

The Adobe Design Center has put up some new tutorials.  You can go directly to the front page of the Design Center HERE.  Or, you can jump directly to "Keep text and graphics together by anchoring them" using InDesign,  "Create a web gallery in minutes using Photoshop Lightroom", and "Creating dynamic sound controls in Flash."

 

Adobe to ship CS3 March 27th.

Macworld is saying that Adobe will release their Creative Suite 3 on March 27th at a special event.  Adobe will be celebrating their global launch and are stating that this will be "the largest software release in Adobe’s 25-year history".

Adobe to have an online version of Photoshop.

Adobe announced that they are going to be offering a free online version of Photoshop within six months.  It won’t have all of the functionality of their full Photoshop product, but it will be free and ad supported.  It will be interesting to see how this is implemented.

Free online photography course.

Morguefile.com has an online photography course that’s free.  I haven’t gone through the lessons myself, but you can’t complain about it if it’s free anyway.  Head over there and check it out.  The link is midway down the page on the left under "Content."  Click the link titled "Classroom" and you’ll see all of the lessons available.

Photoshop tutorial on removing objects.

This tutorial is pretty nice.  It shows you how to remove some of the unwanted items in a picture.  I’m pretty sure it’s only for Photoshop CS2 or CS3.

Adobe Lightroom pricing & availability.

Ars Technica has a small article on the pricing and availability of Adobe Lightroom.  Essentially it will cost $299, but you can pre-order it for $199 until April 30th.  Here is a link directly to the official Adobe Lightroom page.
