ZBrush 3.0 artist feedback.

CGSociety has a small piece up on what artists have to say about using some of the latest features in ZBrush 3.0 from Pixologic.

Ars Technica Adobe CS3 write up.

Ars has a nice and informative article on the new features in Adobe CS3.  "But CS3 isn’t just a small update—it’s chock full of enough new stuff
that’s Adobe feels it’s now worth branching out into two different
versions: Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop CS3 Extended. Don’t worry
though—all of the Photoshop CS2 features are in still the standard
edition and both include Bridge CS3."

Monster Character Painting 2

CHWorkshop is offering another class in monster character painting.  It will be taught by Don Seegmiller and will be limited to 25 students only.  It’s $50 and runs from May 28th 2007 to July 22nd 2007.  Head on over to the CGSoceity to get some more info.

Adobe releases CS3

Adobe has released Design and Web editions of CS3.  If you’re itching for some new tools, go snatch them up.

Night Elf in Maya

CGSociety has a small two page article on how to create a realistic looking Night Elf portrait using Maya.  It’s worth taking a look at if you’re familiar with Maya and looking to expand your current skill set.  Nothing dramatically new, but good stuff nonetheless.

Nice page with cool graphic designs.

Most of these are combinations of a couple or a few pictures to make a more interesting picture.  Like a frog that is made of an orange peel.  Cool stuff.

3 new Gnomon DVDs

d’artiste: Character Modeling 2 is available for pre-order from Ballistic Publishing.  The release is set for May 2007.  I have quite a few of the Ballistic Publishing books and they are well worth the money.  I don’t know about $145.00 for the Collectors Edition, $55.00 for the slip cased edition is well worth it.
