Gamasutra has a great article on Western Perspectives on Japanese game development.  FTA: "The structure and design methods of Japanese developers are radically
different than in North America and Europe. Moreover, in most Japanese
game studios, there are only a handful of non-Japanese workers."  Definitely worth reading.

Ars Technica Adobe CS3 write up.

Ars has a nice and informative article on the new features in Adobe CS3.  "But CS3 isn’t just a small update—it’s chock full of enough new stuff
that’s Adobe feels it’s now worth branching out into two different
versions: Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop CS3 Extended. Don’t worry
though—all of the Photoshop CS2 features are in still the standard
edition and both include Bridge CS3."

Robot Chicken to spoof “Star Wars” with Lucas’ Blessing

The special grew out of a series of “Star Wars” sketches that originally appeared on “Robot Chicken.” Lucas set up a meeting with Green and show co-creator Matt Senreich about posting the sketches on StarWars.com and in the meeting Green and Senreich pitched their idea for the special.

Monster Character Painting 2

An amazing artist with spraypaint.

Really cool painting technique using spray cans and some other minor tools. He works pretty fast and the image itself is really nice.

Appleseed Sequel slated for Fall 07

The anime news network has a little post about the release of Appleseed Ex Machina.  I can’t read Japanese, so I’m taking their word for it that it’s going to be released in Japan in the Fall of 07.  I’m not sure when it will officially hit here in the states, but I can’t wait.

Adobe has released Design and Web editions of CS3.  If you’re itching for some new tools, go snatch them up.
